This heres my state of the art fishing reel! Actually this is my close quarters covert reel for fishing where I aint sposed to fish 
Some folks call this a hobo reel, just line wrapped up on a tapered stick (pencil in this case) hook and a little cork

In England we have a close season on Course Fishing (Freshwater Fish, Rivers/Streams etc) from 15th of May until the 15th of June to let the Fish lay their eggs safely etc which is a good idea to help try to keep a good population but I don't like the wait! Ha ha
But also we have to pay a licence to Fish £27 a season which is supposed to be so that the rivers can be managed and looked after but really it is just another way to tax us all and make money as some rivers are in a bad state.
